The Other End (of the Flattened Curve)

This song was written and recorded while sheltering at home during the COVID-19 pandemic in Riverdale, Toronto with cameos from honorary Shiners, Dot Hwang and Emmanuel Szeptycki.  We also created an accompanying homespun lyric video.

We ask, in lieu of payment for the download, that you please donate if you can to the Sunnybrook Foundation Covid-19 Response or to the Toronto Foundation for Student Success’ Food for Kids Covid-19 Response at www.tfss.ca.

We have singled out these foundations, as they hit close to home… our Shiner bandmate, John, is a doctor at Sunnybrook Hospital and Dot (who plays keyboards on this tune) is an elementary school teacher at Rose Avenue Junior Pubic School here in Toronto. So it is with gratitude that we dedicate this song to both of them and to all the frontline workers and heroes – grocery clerks, nurses, public transports operators, garbage collectors and the like.
